Welcome to Copford PhysioNatal

About Tanya

Tanya Croall

Copford Physiotherapy and PhysioNatal are both owned and managed by myself. I became a Physiotherapist in 2001 and have a diverse background, having worked in the NHS, served as a Physiotherapy Officer in the British Army for a decade, and volunteered as a Gamesmaker during the London 2012 Olympics at the Excel arena.

I am highly motivated and have consistently enhanced my therapeutic abilities through postgraduate training. After leaving the Army and settling in Copford with my young family, I founded Copford Physiotherapy, and then PhysioNatal after discovering how little information I was given about recovery from my own birth.

Outside of work, I am a mother of three and the owner of two lovely labradors. I stay active by swimming and running, and have recently reignited my childhood passion for playing the violin.

My Philosophy

‘Movement is life’ and the ability to engage in life. I look at the interplay between mind, body and movement. As I have gained more experience over the years the link between mind and body has become more and more apparent to me and how physical and emotional health are fully intwined. Change can only come with awareness, I help bring that awareness through hands-on therapy, through analysing and exploring movement with a client and determining with a client how their beliefs, emotions and previous experiences are impacting how they are using and connecting to their body.

“Tanya’s class is excellent! I started the class because of pelvic girdle pain during my second pregnancy. I have found that the exercises really help with the pain but also the classes are so informative that I wish I had known about them during my first pregnancy. I have learnt so much and I would highly recommend!”
